Some very learned collectors are convinced that certain dealers receive preferred treatment in the grading room. I don't think that's the case as...
I opine... in no particular order.. registry sets have a lot to do with this, and the huge jump in price when going up by 1 point or a + in...

The deep toning makes it hard to assess, my best guess is 63-64. "neet" sounds like something a coin doctor would use.
My guess (before the reveal) was 65. I think it was weighted up for the heavy mint frost, but I have found a lot of variation in grading with...
66? Great frost, and the toning around the rims adds some character. I like it!
Wow, those look like sunset over the Grand Canyon. Lovely!

I don't think I looked through them as closely as Jason did, but I have to agree that probably 75% of them don't appeal to me very much. I think...
I'd call it a "skankle" (skinny ankle). ;)
I don't think the gouge is too bad as it is out of the main area of interest. Unless the hairlines are pronounced it should grade although the...
Personally, I don't see copper spots as a problem; they are just a result of the vagaries of mixing an alloy in the 19th century, and I think that...
