My 6 year old son and I say: '79 MS65 (reverse is amazing) '81 MS64PL
Hey all. Just bought some circulated 40% halves from board member ilmcoins and this cool toner was in the batch. Just thought I'd throw it up here...
Which major eBay sellers would you recommend as honest and reliable?
Obviously the slab on this one is a sham, but what about the coin itself. I know the 80/81 S coins are graded on a curve, but this one looks...
Thoughts on whether or not this has been cleaned or artificially toned? I don't buy the PL claims, but it looks like an interesting coin if it...

So I guess the pressing question now is did I overpay for the coin at $350? PCGS values are MSPL63. $285 MSPL64. $385 MSDMPL63....
Or possibly VAM3D... Break in liberty band as well as through tip of neck.
The seller of the coin quoted above is different than the seller from whom I purchased the coin. Not to suggest there aren't multiple snake oil...
Here are some better photos I took now that I'm home. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Care to elaborate?
It was a gamble in the sense that I paid rather handsomely for it in hopes it would be a true PL/DMPL with grade north of 63. The main gamble was...
I appreciate the initial input. Like I said, I'll post photos of the mirrors later this afternoon for a more accurate assessment of DMPL/PL...
