Not really, since they started minting 1990's and 2000's Kookaburra's in 2013 or so.

Coins, air and wood don't match. Keep them away from those. Cardboard self adhesive holders in albums or boxes is best imo.
You're only showing us pictures of obv and rev, not the reeded edge. Any damage to those reeds counts. I think this area here might be the reason...

No problems with the coins or staying closed, just make sure to use slightly larger holders than the diameter of coin.
