Me too. Normally I focus mostly on the reverses looking for doubled columns and wavy steps.

I thought the same thing. Grading errors seems to always be a pot-shot, but I guess the wheat ears killed it from being graded higher.

That reverse is also a lamination peel. Unlike the obverse it has just completely peeled off. Nice find.
It is true that it costs more to produce it than it's worth, but there are no current plans to phase it out.
