The scalloping is on the rim. I don't have a picture but it should look liike a bunch of UUUUUUUUU's laid on their side of course.
Well, another thing to check is if there are bubbles on the surface or not. Bubbles indicate it's been cast. Also the edge should be scalloped...
To be honest, it looks like a counterfeit cast copy. They are prevalent on eBay and turn up quite often on this forum as other new collectors...
