The luster doesn't show, but it should give you a basic idea of the condition of the coin.
I disagree. I think it has a shot at 65. On the other hand, I still wouldn't risk sending it in and it coming back with a lower grade.
Here's the 42, what do you think the grade is?
MS 65 from a reputable grading sevice, MS-70 from SGS
Dont you think that that is what people thought about wheats when they were being rapidly produced?
I was thinking while I was roll searching, and I realized that if my dad had hundreds of coin from around when his dad was born, it could be worth...
If you don't spit on the coin is it so bad? I'm not totally stupid that I would do that.
how much do you think it is worth?
ok thanks
Only a few dollars. I knew it was bad - I just wanted to know how bad. Could you give me an exact grade?
here it is
oh, yeah whoops
This is my first shield nickel and I have no idea how to grade it so any help would be appreciated.
I got a blank Whitman folder and filled up the extra spaces with 1959-1998. Worked out well. It was only $3.
i found one on ebay for $22 and asked if it had all the mintmarks but he hasn't responed yet
what you said haha

Yeah, i found a 1943 P jefferson on the ground and when I put it in my small collection, I realized how cool coins are.
i had a steel cent which i recently discovered was an S/S and he gave that to me when i was really little too
umm... I'm not totally sure. My dad used to give me wheats in change and i found a 1963 D quarter when i was 6.
