I have been suprised by how well my detector does if I actually believe what it's telling me. Now if I could hunt down some silver.
I would agree with XF on the seated quarter. very nice detail and it apears to me to have very little wear. Just a slight hint on the high points....

I went out twice over the weekend about an hour each day and ended up with two dollars and two cents in change. I also found a big botton...
Not bad for a back yard trearure hunt. Not to bad for any hunt. My best find yeserday was a quarter in a plastic Egg about 3 inches underground.
I went through my normal 6 rolls of cents today and found a few keepers. A 1960 d in AU/MS, a 1970 s in AU/MS, a 1939 and 1946 s wheats in vg to fine.
The Iowa quarter would need the farm couple from "American Gothic".
