ha! i wish! the closest my detector goes to that is you can set it to only detect coins, and there is another setting for copper...
if i see a silver certicate in circulation, i would obviously keep it! if i see an old style bill, i will buy it for face, check it out, then...
blank coins usually sell for $2-$3, i'd buy them.

it probaly not worth anything over face value anyway. bills have to be really old to be worth something.

i would keep that becuase you don't see any cool serial numbers on old style bills! nice find!
silver certificates arn't worth much. my dealer sells ones in uncirculated condition for $4. the really bad ones go for $1.50, and the "good" ones...
when i get bills in change, the first thing i do is look at the serial numbers. i can usually pick out the ones that are probaly going to be cool....
you watch, the people who thought i was crazy for collecting will be saying sorry when i'm old and cash in all my coins i've had over the years...
