jeffB- I completely agree. If he cannot provide any documentation to these "phone conferences", I would be inclined to think that he's just a...
Hmmm, I had a thought to offer $49,400, but I needn't waste his time. Haha
It doesn't look like a D over S to me. Even if that was the case, PCGS probably would have specified.
He only has 3 feedbacks. By the way, it's a D mint mark, but he claims it was minted in SF? What? And, in 1958, the SF mint didn't issue coins.
Clearly not a serious listing. $500,000, but "I will not accept offers under $50,000".
I check once every two weeks. The teller at my local bank saved a 1969 half for me recently, along with some consecutive 1988A fives. So, I think...
The coin at the very bottom row (under the 1919) could be a struck through grease because "LIBERTY" and the year are not visible.
Altogether, it is possible to immediately determine that the 1937 and 1945 D are lamination errors, the other coins would require closer examination.
I don't think that all of the coins are errors, but the 1945 D definitely is a lamination error. Very nice finds! The '51 and '53 right next to it...
Just two dirty coins- no mint errors. Relatively modern coins too.
No, not an error. Regular 1984 quarter- just $0.25. Circulation damage, like paddyman said, or scratched along the pavement.
Kind of an interesting coin to save. After all, 1 cent won't get you anything!
Interesting find!
I would pay $10 for the note at top.
Very nice star note! I also have some 1957 star notes, but they are much more worn.
Thanks paddyman! If I sold the notes, would it be better to sell the 3 consecutive ones to it also, or just the single repeater? I have...
I already posted these notes, but received no replies. https://www.cointalk.com/attachments/upload_2019-2-19_21-12-59-jpeg.894713/ Fellow...
I agree, not an error, just dented and scratched.
Very interesting and informative post!
Cool find! Did you find it in circulation? I saw a CU 1999 $5 note sell for $40 on eBay recently.
