Very nice find! A serial number that low with a star could carry a significant premium over face. Why would someone spend it? 2 dollars won't buy...
S mint mark doesn't make the coin any more valuable. Ordinary, circulated coin, worth $0.01.
What makes you think that the coin is a mint error?
It's so worn it's real hard to tell, but I would guess it's a 1917 Type 2. The shield rivets are more prominent.
That's a real nice note you have mpcusa! I still don't have a 1993 $1, let alone one with an error.
No, not really. A couple are on eBay for $5/$6, with no buyers.
No, that is not a Mexican coin. Swiss 5 rappen. Still a nice coin, though!
Saudi Arabian coin known as a "25 halala". Decimal version of the "rial". Exchange value around $0.07 Edit: 1/4 rial, like furryfrog said
Nice coin! Did you buy it or find it in circulation?
Doesn't look like an RPM, but, cool find! Melt value is 10-12x it's face value.
Scratched up cent. Definitely isn't missing it's clad layer.
Yes, all of the previous posts are correct. "Unsearched" means sifted through with quite a few worn, possibly cleaned, and common dates tossed in.
No, I don't think it's the same book. I just found a similar Franklin book.
Sorry I didn't reply earlier. Here's a link to an auction of a full set of Franklin halves on eBay....
$6 worth of silver quarters? I wonder who would roll up so many silver quarters.
Also, the album of Franklins you have, if complete, will be worth a nice premium if you decide to sell it. Melt value for a Franklin half is $6...
$20? That might be their face value alone, disregarding the fact that all the coins (except maybe the Ikes) are silver. Fantastic buy.
Hmm, not really MS 64 but not MS 62. I'll go with MS 63.

In 1974, using the penny had a point because just $0.05 then would be $0.27 today according to an inflation calculator. Gas cost 50 cents in 1974...
