Thanks foundinrolls for clarifying that. Goes to show you not to believe everything you read.
I was just looking at a pile on my desk and this was sitting there. It's a 1944P. I think it's some kind of planchet error. [ATTACH]
That is normal untill 1993 when they went close. Of course you should look at everything.
That's a real good find.
From what I can see it looks like the die is worn, die deterioration damage.
Yep it's called 'ghosting' it's when the outline of the design on one side of the coin appears faintly, in reverse, on the other side from...
OK, thanks for trying to understand what I meant when I asked for 'How about a picture of it from a different angle or different lighting'. I...
Same picture different angle?
Nice try, but only the original angle of the picture has changed. How about a new picture from another angle. And if you're going to use my...
Don't know what a 'Fie' is, I'm guessing you meant 'Die'. How about a picture of it from a different angle or different lighting.

It looks like a crack to me. The only thing that I can think of is the term referring to the arrows to the left and right of the date. These were...
Looks like the die is deteriorated in some areas and a grease filled die in others.
Welcome to the forum. It could be an error such as a struck through, however there's no way of telling unless you can provide a picture. Thanks
Since machine doubling is damage and not part of the die it probably wouldn't be listed. But that's just an opinion.
Without clearer pictures the best I can do is; maybe a Vam 2AN or a Vam 2BB. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Sorry, just getting to this. I have to agree with Abacus coins here. What do you see? What is the mint mark if any? Here's a site that might...
