OK, what I'm hearing sounds awesome! What metal detector to get for under $200? I'm a coinshooter and have heard good things about the Ace 250....
I live near Portland, OR and I'm wondering if I can find anything good metal detecting there. Thank you for your answers.
OK, into the wallet it goes.
[ATTACH] It's a bookend, but is it a keeper?
Skunked. *sigh*
Just concerned. This, and a bunch of other coins, were a gift. What happened here? Potato ride through the oven? [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
No.
Correct!
Here's some trivia: What date of Seated Dime is sometimes termed the "Orphan Annie Dime"?
Wow, that dealer must be really clueless. Watch that bin, there could be an 1894-S dime for $4!
That's a Shield Nickel. Worth about $10 there. Nice find!
I don't live near Long Beach.
Maybe $30? I have no idea of the variety.
Halves are usually the most profitable, while quarters are the least. If you want old coins go pennies and nickels though.
Can't really afford FB, but might be able to get it on a few dates. The set I plan on assembling seems like it'll be 1934-45, mostly in 64-66...
Oh thanks! Now I know why AGEs are .9167 fine.
I saw a rainbow toned PCGS 66 1945 going for about $42.
PCGS slabbed and MS64+. The later dates are surprisingly cheap. Should I try it?
Has anyone noticed how underrated the later date Mercs are? You can easily get even rainbow toned 66 examples for under $50.
It's NGC.
