I would agree that it's not a struck through, something damaged the die.
There is a doubled die listed for the '74 Denver mint half. Is the mark on the eagle's right thigh or the right thigh on the half reverse?
It would be a good idea to check the coin forums that you look at. People will show coins that they stole and list them as their own.
