Ive seen them on uncleaned coins before, usually its from getting stepped on or driven/biked over leaving indents from small gravel, dirt, etc.
Does anyone know how many 1943 copper cents have been found (confirmed originals)??
I know it looks like bubbling from the pictures but those are actually concave instead of convex (they go inward) most likely from being in...
Thank you!
I posted it on the original post like 2 hours ago...
Sure thing!
Thanks so much for your response. You've been a big help and ill be sure to keep u updated
Yes, thanks for all of the responses by the way, greatly appriciated, and yes i brought it to a NGC certified dealer about 15 mins from me maybe...
They are in the shape of the letters that are doubled, not sure why
Thank gooooodness
looks like a 1960 D Wide AM
So you are saying you were able to replace the steel with copper.... If that is possible then half the graded 1943 copper cents are FAKE!
Where do you see them? Thanks! -Justin
Look at the zinc on the highpoints
This is the one i founs (cleaned) gonna send it in soon
Message me if you have any questions :)
It almost looks like it was stamped twice, i know this is virtually impossible...
Sonic scale reads within .003 of a 1944 copper penny
The deteails are actually raised significantly higher than the details on a steel 1943
Now the obverse looks double die too...
Separate names with a comma.
