My vote is for silver plating, no silver content in the stuck coin at all...that is the silver coating coming off.

again, no way of telling, plenty Severus denarius go for 50+...It would be foolish IMO to just buy it without knowing what it is.

there is no way of knowing until you know what coin it is...the values for Severus coins are all over the place though in general, many are still...
oh...btw...on the site I list things in only two general sections, modern and ancient and on the whole, modern starts around the middle ages. :)
