big spender
if you had 1K to buy a coin (1 single coin) at this point what would you get. vf 1895O dime comes to mind for me
dang- I guess I have to accept it
Although not explicitly stated ok where did he get the info then?
the weird thing is that the mintnewsblog does not state a source for the "s" proof assertion and they even state that the mint DOES NOT say it...
nope- there was a sf eagle w/o an s
I do not see reference to the "s" mintmark on the mint website
I looked at the sellers other auction- lots of toned coins
the buyer thought it was 4 for $950

a couple of dates may trip you up in ms65+ the 1972 1 and 2 for example
I am also very interested in this question. They certainly appear to be different

It is not the ideas- more the style. You seem more long winded than usual and bit harsher in tone
Krispy- in the past you have always added something with your comments but lately I have noticed change. I do not mean to be too harsh but others...
wow- hats off to Doug!
most coin mags have that list- like coin world or numismatic news. They may even be on their website
20 - nice score- If you make $100 each and sell them all in one auction that is 2 grand profit with minimal hassles
7-27-12 sorry - I thought you meant the eagle sets.
