Looks like corrosion/enviormental damage.Also it has a high mintage of over 20,000,000 with $12 of silver.
I like canadian cents every once in a while you find some from the 60'S and earlier i believe my oldest from CRH is 1945.
I could buy my house and car with %90 of all that dough still remaining.
Looks fine to me don't completely take it off a good visual example.

Damaged its been through a few experiments just a quarter.
No silver but a collection dump of BU red cents from the 60's and 70's and plenty of friscos keept every one im good with that instead.
