Why do they even bother listing all these coins? Is someone really going to spend $500 for a penny that's worth a penny?
You have a $15 coin. It costs over $30 to have it graded. After it's graded you can sell it for $15.
I could tell right away from the tail feathers, and the photo in post #3 is very clear.
.50- $1 if it hasn't been cleaned. (retail) They made over 300 million in Philly in 1939. Maybe it was a Great American Coin Hunt find.
I appreciate the long winded insanity. 1964 quarters were minted in 1965 and even into 1966. There's no way to tell unless there are specific...
You can't have a 1977 quarter struck over a 1973. And if it was, it wouldn't be lined up exactly the same, since it is a super high speed process,...
These are 2 normal quarters. One has environmental damage (the dark rusty one) probably from being in the ground. There is nothing special here.
Denver and San Francisco also produced coins in 1965, 1966 and 1967, there just weren't any mint marks in those years. Did they not make pennies?...
Could be normal "toning". Copper is reactive. People like the rainbow colors. You can put it in a 2x2 coin flip and save it, but it's worth .01...
It's true that a 1981 Canadian penny is bronze and weighs 2.8 grams. However, they have their own mint the US doesn't have Canadian planchets in...
Well it won't have more value cleaned. My point is that except for the finest examples and rare varieties, the war nickels are worth silver value...
US Coin Book is OK, and I use them just to get an idea. They have some mistakes (mintages, etc.) but generally the information is good and the...
I thought it graded 66. The coin you are referencing in post #49 that got 65+ was not the OP.
Yes I understand. I just don't know how accurate that scale is. Weigh some other copper cents, to get a control figure. If they all weigh 3.1 then...
The first coin is a 1978-D and then it looks like the next coin is a 1974-D. Mint marks get smushed. It happens.
Not sure how accurate that scale is with that "basket" type apparatus. Color seems off on this coin. Where did you get it?
Etsy doesn't care. Is it a small date copper woodie?
This coin is not Canadian. It is from Great Britain. 3 pence. .925 silver, melt value .73 cents. Coin value: $2 Price guide shows $3 for a higher...
I was at 65 because simply it wasn't as bad as a 64 and IMO in the photo it didn't seem as good as a 66. (Although I am always low and had no...
Tolerance is +/- .13 2.98-3.24 Used to be the same for zinc, but someone here said it was changed to .10 so that would be 2.40-2.60 for zinc. At...
