If the 1960 was a small date, would the clip enhance, or lower the value? And that is a nice set.
Whoops. Thanks jeffB. I gave up after the 1st photo.
The scale says 2.95 which is close enough to tolerance. 2.98-3.24 considering how old and worn it is.
Either it's "natural" toning. Or, I think the coin was gold plated at one point and some has worn off. Can't tell from the photos.
Lincoln Cent Resource is not complete. Wexler's lists DD for 1935, 1935-D and 1935-S. https://doubleddie.com/377701.html
They weren't going to get a 50/50 reward split as they were trespassing, and did not have permission to hunt and dig up relics on that land.
The 36-S is damaged and has been cleaned. The "steel" 1936 are plated as there were no steel planchets before 1943. LONG LIVE THE NECRO THREAD! YAY!
Mint state is when a coin looks brand new, no matter what year it is. And hasn't been cleaned or polished, which damages the surface of the coin....

If those are cleaning scratches I am at $20.
I don't think it's even a question. LD on the OP. The 9 is no good and the angle is making the 7 appear higher. Also a possible hit on the date.
The frozen tundra made this hunt a challenge. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
The 7 is not high enough and the 9 doesn't curl around far enough. [ATTACH]
The 5 gold rings are in the upper right. And everything else is silver. Even though some of the silver looks gold, and one of the gold is not gold...
Updated silver and gold swag.[ATTACH]
Yes that's true I forgot to mention that. If the lettering in MONTICELLO on the reverse shows prominent doubling. Then it's a good coin. (I don't...
Lincoln Cent Resource doesn't list any DDR for 1952, however, Wexler's does list two DD's for 1952, but both are obverse DD's. Unless you have a...
