Wow that's surprising.
Here's the other thread https://www.cointalk.com/threads/sorry-wrong-photos-for-1953-d-penny.393869/.
No it isn't sms special mint sets were from 1965 to 67 your Kennedy looks normal to me and in that condition melt, still silver is silver.
Why did you list it for sale?o_Oo_O.
Its a pretty rare event yes your right and technically nothing is impossible,i found a nice rim burr on a zinc cent.
Just screw it we're ruining this thread.
Really?OK then I'll buy ten bucks for only one cent all day long then:):).
?this isn't damage it's a cud laminations only occurred on copper cents not zinc.
as a 64?no the surface of the coin is very questionable i would say 62 possibly details, for the DMPL not sure by those pictures seller is asking...
66+FB nice one,did you put the star in by a mistake instead of FB?if it was in a ngc i would say a * to be highly possible for it.
If i do recall correctly laminations are impossible and don't exist on zinc coated cents. One has never been verified and most likely never will i...
If it's a philly then not a proof, special mint sets did stop in 1967 and for the late 1960's.The mint had some pretty nice dies for 1968...
As you stated pictures aren't the best but it looks lovely:):)definitely take some pics when it arrives.
Wow the cent sold for over $800:hilarious::hilarious:someone sure got a lot of free money.
Looks like it saved someone from a knife attack.
Forgot about that one between those and rim burr they are very similar I'm used to seeing finning on basically cents so looks different.
Ouch my banks don't even have any coins lol hard to believe right?they said try around the end of this month.
Nope those are actually a bunch of rim burrs they connect perfectly from the edge to the rim nice find not damaged @paddyman98.
After searching through $100 worth of cents straight one time I couldn't believe it,the look and smell combined!!!!.
Don't know hmm good question!!!!never smelled a 2003 D cent but my guess would be like zinc and despair:):).
