Sorry to hear about your troubles Dan. I hope it all works out for you. Like the others have stated, a few good images will be very helpful in...
I need a 1794 half if anybody wants to trade for a roll of mixed date BU Morgans or an 1873 proof set.
They call them restored dates. I'm not interested, but there is actually a decent market for the rarer dates. You can find the product on ebay.
Nic-a-date seems to work.
It pays to be honest with your dealers. I feel like if you told them about your find, they would likely congratulate you and let you keep it....
It's worth grading if you plan to sell it, otherwise I would just put it in a nice air-tite. I would call it AU-53.
That is one cool coin. I have to wonder how this even happened. It's not like they were flying through some automated machine like they are today.
No takers to my offer? I guess nobody here likes coins... Edit: This offer has been accepted by a few members and is now closed. Thanks
I have to agree that they should be considered problem free, but it should be called out somehow with the grade. Yours for example could be graded...
I have plenty of buffalos and will donate a nice starter set to the person who sends me a PM describing how they plan to complete the set and keep it.
So what is your opinion, are chop marks damage or part of the history of the coin?
Wow Larry, those are gorgeous.
What gives Tyler? Why are you selling off your set?
I never collect world coins (aside from the Maundy money proofs), but I love to get a ten pound box from one of my dealers and go through them...
Apparently everyone gets one, just check the feedback.
Very nice, I don't have an 1882 yet. This is the only other one that I have an image of. A golden toned 1880 PR-63. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
I have been on a mission to do a proof set of Trade dollars for many years, but I only have four so far. This is my favorite, a soft golden toned...
A guy ruined one of my Taylor solid bodies with one of those in my studio last year. I was not very happy. Play with a pick or your fingernails.
A photo will be better than a scan. Scans tend to wash out any luster that the coin may have giving it an appearance that it is more circulated...
The coin is clearly a cast counterfeit. What do the edges look like?
Separate names with a comma.
