Orient your pictures so we don't have to turn out heads sidways and crop them. You have more background than coin. Definately harshly cleaned.

Your best bet is a soak in a good quality acetone.....NO RUBBING. If that doesn't work, it's probably best left alone or to the professionals at NCS.

My guess is something was stuck to the reverse. I've removed gummy substances on toned coins and that's how they turn out after it's removed.
