Wow...that's a die scratch? Impossible to tell from the picture....looks like a hit. If this coin was hammered just a little harder, it would be a 7.
Sure looks nicer than a 66 from those pictures IMO. The 2 reverse field hits around O and N must have held it back because I bet this has the luster.
I'd like someway to make it easy to identify dealers by their specialty. I'm primarily a Lincoln collector and a lot of dealers just don't care...
Awesome change find!
Definitely not a "new" trend, PCGS has been doing it for years....even before they started to advertise and commercialize it.
NEVER CLEAN OR POLISH COINS! NEVER!
Are those -4 points bad? I don't think so, no matter what, I'm right....either PCGS gets it right or wrong. :p
Nice 55/55!
Side by side: :)
I would say the coin looks MUCH more natural after conservation. Plus he got rid of that nasty spot of verdigris that was eating away at the coin....
WOW! One of the better conservations I've seen. That's a night and day difference!
Got better pics? I'm not buying into the "cleaned" by PCGS!
I'd go 66BN on that coin, it's nice.
I think I see some luster. Now, I could only tilt it. LMAO :p
Tough call....booming luster.
I'm surprised they didn't ding it. I think that's a WG66 still. :)
I keep getting a gut feeling NGC is going to knock this to 64...or if they really hated it, 63. One of many reasons I prefer PCGS for Lincolns.
I wouldn't call it a "weak strike", more accurately, some of the design elements are weak or, in some cases, non-existent with a grease filled...
I don't remember what you posted last week. LMAO!
Hopefully, this overlay will help make sense of what I'm saying.
