I think what you wrote (that CAC should allow other TPGs to be sent for CAC approval) is a great idea, however the CAC's own rules stipulates than...

IMO, the 58 grade was a result of cheek rub (the prime focal point for the coin) and, to a lesser extent, luster breaks in the fields.
While I agree with you 100%, the CAC management doesn't.
I think whoever designed that one spent a little too much time at a local coffee shop. :D Cool coin & thanks for sharing...Mike
Meh, economics ain't a real science. ;)
That's a good idea, but CAC only stickers NGC and PCGS coins.
p.s. if I had to choose only one, I would choose #2 -- it more closely shows how the coin looks normally in-hand.

[img] I'll bet you another dollar that what you're seeing is the lighting angle and not wear on the rims. If Ruben moves his lights a few...
p.s. please take another photo, and move the light as "high" (i.e. close to the camera) as you can. I suspect what we're seeing is shadows caused...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't much of the really cool early US 20th century types (like the St. Gaudens, Mercury Dime, etc.) based on design...
