Most small shows I've attended have been disappointments. Now I don't even waste my time, and only go to the larger ones....Mike
Vg 9 (bonus point for eye appeal/originality) Nice coin! :)
Congrats!
:(
I think you did VERY well. You just don't see many that look like this, unfortunately.....Mike
This is a coin you see counterfeited, so I'd beware. Don't have anything more than that....as this is far from my specialty.
No brainer fake. A glance at the rims/dentils is all it takes for me.
They both look fake to my eye -- details look mushy (particularly on coin #1) and odd fields say cast countefeit to me. I'd like to see much...
Congrats! Pretty coin.
Thanks for the compliment, but I'm not nearly as good as Mark (or Brandon) when it comes to photographing toners. :)
I am sorry to say that I like Brandon's coin more. It looks more original. BUt that's just me, and it is what Lehigh thinks that really...
You need to attribute the coin before determining value, as these coins can vary in price greatly depending on the variety. That said, if it is...
Look along the rim on the obverse -- and pay attention to the dentils. ;)
In my experience, they don't. If anyone would like I could take photos....
p.s. Jesh, that Canon equipment will take SUPERB coin photos.
I use a Nikon D300 and Nikkor 200mm Micro lens for virtually all of my coin photographs.
I am sorry to say it's not a proof, and the color of the photo leads me to believe the red ain't natural either. All IMHO...Mike
p.s. fabulous coin! :)
