Honestly, 1880-S is not a good place to start VAMming. There is no variation in the date position only doubling of the date and it is very common...
What is the seller's name?
Yep, 5D glasses...
I missed the radial die crack the first look which is why I said I had the later die state initially..Welcome to the exciting world of VAMming! :D
I knew you knew that...;)
Yeah, that one wasn't easy as far as the VAM. AGS graded it MS64 and it's a MDS VAM-28. Apparently the EDS is desirable and of course that's not...

Ed, put your secretary's tablet aside and look at this on your laptop...:wideyed::rolleyes:
Not SEGS. It's smaller than a bread box but too large to fit in a PCGS box, barely. I think the guess the TPG was a bit unfair as I've only seen...

I went with 66. Beautiful example no matter what number PCGS gave it..
It's fine to reply to both forums. Actually I tossed in a few crops over there to aid in the VAM identification because the optimizer over there...
Up for your opinion is an 1882 Morgan Dollar that I've owned now for over a dozen years. Bonus points for guessing the VAM (it's a MDS example but...
I think using the '21 Morgan scale this one scored MS63 and the VAM, yeah you know I had it in like 2 seconds....;)
This one has just a slight rim tone that I really like. I took these photos yesterday for another reason but it will fit here as well.[ATTACH]...
