It looks like the reverse die used for VAM-36
Messy just posted the wiki is down until possibly this afternoon http://vwtest.varslab.com/
I was in earlier this morning but not able to get in now.. I wonder if @messydesk is cleaning out some photos....
It would also be a good thing to join the SSDC to help support the site.
I think it makes VF20 with the obverse carrying the reverse.
You know I like this one...I'd swear one could almost eat cereal from one of these.
Nice Morgans are like chips, you can't stop at one...;) Wonderful example!
I can see why the OP images were taken with (overly?) diffused lights. A coin with this much lustre and design detail can be a real bear to...
Nice catch! '82-S in PL is not nearly as common as years prior ('80 & '81) and darn near scarce in dimple. Maybe a quick dip to liven it...
MS63, as other mentioned, a decent strike for a San Fran issue...
The date position on your Morgan is a hair too far left to be a VAM 1B. My guess would be VAM 3A, probably LDS.
The reverse is nice but that thumb print and terminally toned obverse should keep the hammer price well below MS65 territory unless someone is bored.
You need to learn the difference between variety and die state.
Very nice prototype. Something any DIYer can relate to. I've found that I have a much greater appreciation for something I create over the basic...
I could be wrong but I believe the AACGS slab could be skidded up and shipped through an LTL carrier.
53 50
I'll say it went 64BN. Nice woody!
The MS67+ label is fresh to the market. The coin itself however is in no way fresh in my opinion.
I bounce between Coin Chat and US Coins and like Messy noted, I can't tell the difference at times, they seem interchangeable.
Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder, it's about snarky remarks.
