If you're listing it for sale/ auction I would not specify. Buyer/ bidders make the call.. Or roll the dice and send it in to be graded. You seem...
MS63 possibly PL. I would have said 64 but the unfortunate hit in the left obverse field holds it back.
LOL....
I said I was going out on a grading limb. My thought was the maybe the graders were not able to read print when reflected at the required distance...
I'm going out on the grading limb here and say MS65+. The reverse misses the PL reflectivity standard because of the extensive die polish lines...
MS65+ at least in my opinion. Nice skin to boot.
My WAG is MS65 no FB....
The D and S mints are well struck compared to the majority. Well played!
Lotus 123 is showing your age now..:p
Mine is a simple Excel spreadsheet.
I saw no reason to even attempt to get these issues from the mint. I have MS69 examples of both the Morgan and Peace Dollars in the form of DC...
Looks like a lamination peel or some type of mount was removed.
All that "action" in the fields usually results in AU designation.
Where's George? o_O PMD
I can agree with AU-58
And grade-flation. I'm always low on the GTG posts....As one would expect for an Auld Faurt...
If I had a double eagle that was a problem coin I would. I wish I would have bought a few raw back when I got back into collecting when gold was...
Very nice example. FBL is what I would expect on a '48-P. :) And I also have two Dansco albums and one Library of Coins complete.
I highly doubt oversight. I'm sure that was intent. The type 1 reverse is a wet dog compared to type 2.
Looks like a VAM-11. More of a die gouge than an over date to me but hey, it's a Hot-50 variety. Congrats!
