Baking soda to clean the coins, and then dip in lemon juice to prevent tarnishing. I don't suggest cleaning it unless you really want to.

To answer your question about certified coins, Check your local coin shops, auctions, craigslist and ebay for slabbed and graded coins.
I am not much of a fan of cleaning/conserving, but that 1924-D wheatie doesn't even look it at all. Good job!
If they are only worth copper value, or very common dated wheaties, clean them. Just don't be too harsh.
