Using images of pattern coins, and regular issue coins, let's make some coins you would of liked to have seen minted instead. This is my nickle....
Can someone please grade my half cent?
It makes you wonder what happened to it. I didn't even realize PF40 was even a grade. I thought proof started at 60.
Two of them did....
1835 Half Cent. I cannot grade this. The reverse is worn like F-12 but the obverse has much better detail than F-12 [IMG] Although it's damaged....
In 1880 8.9 Million S mint silver dollars were made. Starting in 1878, the mintages of other denominations dropped. In 1880, only 8,400 half...
I think I may sell both coins and get a nice slabbed coin of my choice...that token has a speck of green on it, it would probly come back as...
Attended a HUGE flea market today. 75+ vendors over 4 acres. Here are my "prizes". 1857 (small date?) flying eagle. Cleaned yes, but I already...
You can't. The coins are set in from the back. They kept sliding through the two sheets of lexan. However the edges of the sheet are glued. I had...
Anyone ever had one of these? Got it for $5 at auction. Sadly it was originally made to hold silver coins. Someone replaced it with clad, but it...
I am supposed to talk about some kind of interesting topic at the next coin club. Does anyone know of a good idea for something cool or unusual?
Does anyone else get on eBay and look at coins in the 5 digit prices that they know they could probably never afford? Every now and then I hop on...

I though this was an actual mint error and not a squeeze job. I've seen stuff sit on eBay for months and months and months. Their are MILLIONS...
While I don't want more collectors per say, I want more younger collectors like myself (19). Most of the people in my coin club are in their 50s...

Thank you very much for the info!
I store my coins in 2x2s, some of my collection is slabbed. Snuffy Seldon just doesn't have a good ring to it.
To be honest I don't like either of them. If I had to choose I would go with the top. Courier looks pretty good. 1928 $1 Morgan XF-45
I paid for my dinner last night with a 1933 $20 Saint Gauldens. Wasn't doing much good just sittin' in my safe.
