I agree with LDS.
They are small typically parallel incuse lines that are a sign of cleaning, like on this coin: [img]
I see no obvious signs of cleaning, and dirt in the crevices is not definitive, IMO, it could be natural or a sign of cleaning.

I think, like RLM says above, that it's safe to say the seller presents his photographs to portray the coins in a way that minimizes any problems....
