Destruction?, really?...FYI, there are plenty of "real" Barber halves out in the market.
IMO,no...No difference if I were to strike the coins in my basement.
So you are saying this is not a COPY of a Barber half?
If these coins are "legal tender" then they are counterfeit coins.
There should be the word "counterfeit" stamp across the Lib's cheek.
Are there slots made for these two dates in a Dansco?
Will the TPGs slab his coins as genuine?
So he is the best counterfeiter in modern time?
Yup!
$144, $244, $44, whatever.... IMO any American coins that aren't made by the U.S. mint = FAKES!
There were "real" 64D $$ but supposedly all were melted.
And I hope new collectors aren't mislead by the "dreamers" that these are rare coins...:D It is a matter time before the MoD set sell for below...
Unbelieveable, $244 for a FAKE coin. IMO, no different than a Chinese fake..:banghead: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/111672130252?rmvSB=true
PCGS price guide is too high for most coins. greysheet bid is $23 for a MS64 38D nickel.
Why would fake coins make the set cooler?:banghead:
Very nice AU50 coin.
must the collector include these two coins in a complete set? Some say yes, and some say no b/c they are "fake" coins. IMO they are fake coins.
IMO, sooner or later the set will sell for < issued price.
PM SQguy...;)
Give it time they'll be a lot cheaper when the hype is over.
