That's part of my potential issue with the coin I'm considering. The crack goes halfway through the coin. I don't have it in hand, so it's hard...
Normally I avoid coins with flan cracks. But, I do have a couple in my VCoins watch list because they're fairly scarce types, and waiting around...
That's interesting that $10 gold commems beat out AGEs, but silver commems don't beat ASEs (at least at Apmex's prices).
I just wish they wouldn't put out so darn many! I feel like it's a better strategy to just buy the ones you want, a couple years after the date...
It doesn't look off center from the picture you've posted. Possibly a slightly misaligned die. I can't really comment further without better...
Thanks! Technically it's a little premature to post it today because I don't have it in hand, but I have full confidence it will look every bit...
Yeah, it's a real note with a sticker over Mr. Jefferson's portrait. You can tell by feel or by holding the note up to a strong light.

Some kind of jeton or token, I think. I don't specifically recognize it.
It depends on what you mean by "reasonable price."
That's a nice looking one. It's also in an older ICG slab.
I bet ANACS would grade them.
I've always wondered what exactly a gold CAC sticker on an AU58 coin meant. I mean, yeah, by the definition, it means they think it's UNC, but...
That makes more sense. Usually you'd expect grease to fill the entire letter. I had no idea there was a broken D VAM. :)
I find this attitude bizarre. A details grade taints the coin until it straight grades, huh? But we can scream and yell about coins being over or...
It's probably struck through grease. Cool find!
Much better. That picture is making me lean toward strike through, but I'm still not 100%.
It looks like damage to me, but maybe a strike through? I'd want to see sharp, close-up pictures of the area before saying for sure.
This is how @Brett_in_Sacto is going to be bidding on coins after his wife finds out. :P[ATTACH]
