Nice. Almost anything that's not a 64 or 65 is a good pickup for $13 and it wouldn't be bad if it were.
I can't make up my mind which Photo to keep. Seller's with my Album Treatment [ATTACH] or my own. [ATTACH] I'm leaning towards the sellers.
I'd like to ask a personal favor. This was lost (not stolen) when I lost a change pouch. If you see it anywhere, I'd like to repurchase it....
Excellent edge shot. A Strong edge. It does look like several 19bs have that letter weakness while stronger at the core and dentils. Very unusual....
That's a little overweight, but within tolerances.
Definitely the S-261 with the large Obverse die crack. Without a weight different from 10.5g to 10.7g or better photos showing a mint edge...
I have a suspicion that they continued using the castaining machine for a short time after converting to the 168 grain standard and initially...
I almost suspected there was more there with better photos. The seller's photos were blurry and detail was still detectable. It's a little...
I asked too. Just in case.
It's a S-77. Also 10.5g (162 grains.) But it does have the squared up edge of many 76b s that caused me to jump on them thinking they were 76a s.
Ouch. That's worse than unattributable.
I can manipulate the image enough to see that it is reverse up and FOR A, but the focus fades before DOLLAR and the leaf.
That's GREAT. Even though it looks porous, it has the detail to make the attribution solid as a rock. But I bet a good photo will make it look...
[ATTACH] Posted before adding this photo marked up. Looking closely a this, it appears to eliminate Reverse BB as well with the stem angled at...
This shows the stem better and the lower intersection of the inner and outer stems that along with the overlapping leaf under IR seem to exclude...
I'm with you on it not being the S-179 obverse, I can't find any of the 14 type 2 98 obverses that look right. But the reverse looks possible....
These are much clearer. I think this shows the double leaf under IR overlaps the wreath and is not just copper movement. I'm still at S-179 with...
If so, it would be a very early die State and showing a stem on the berry under E(S) that others do not show. I can't see enough detail above E or...
