You are correct. There were two coins issued in 1942. The one containing silver will have a large letter on the reverse above the dome.
I put all of my ASE in a Caps Album. Great (but bulky) storage. Any extras I put in Direct Fit Coin Capsules.
I got my four boxes of quarters and about $580 in mixed coins from my bank for this weekend, so it should keep me occupied.
