There was a spot removed below Liberty’s chin. There are clear scrape marks under 10x magnification.
Its last scan was in Atlanta. I still remember the zip code, so maybe there’s hope? I’ve called them several times as well as opened inquiries....
That one is really well struck for a Dahlonega-mint coin. Very nice!
The number struck was not definitively recorded (to my knowledge), so one could show up... But this coin is 100% fake, no doubt about it.
Most of those are not as secure or “safe” as they are made out to be.
The hairlines are completely consistent with an AU coin
Who saw this coming? I got it for $29 shipped. Under 10x, I see only 1 thing potentially worthy of a details grade. I agree that it should be AU....
I can’t not see that scratch above the date, which is on the coin. I’d bet that’s why it graded less than you felt it deserves.
