Wow, that toning is nice. Congrats on your find/buy! :)
Weird. The reverse looks like some remnants of a standing figure or statue or something. For some reason, I'm thinking its not U.S. The figure on...
I actually think the toning is attractive. But I agree for the others, I wouldn't even pay half that price (MAYBE $100 if the toning is really...
I am by no means a dime expert but the only doubling I can possibly see is on the E in STATES (split bottom leg)
For me, a snob in the sense of "quality eye-appeal", which is NOT the same as grade. I prefer beautifully toned coins over blast white/red ones....
Even though the picture is blurry, the half dollar looks to be in nice VF condition. I would say $50+ for it.
If you can confirm it is a 1877, then I would recommend sending it to PCGS to have it confirmed as "genuine". If you can't, I suggest selling it...

It's the actual picture that's been "worked on" (by myself), lol. The actual pictures are the seller's. I tried to sharpen up and add contrast to...
Hi all, Just picked this one off the 'bay. The luster is simply stunning, and it appears to have FSB. I was wondering if it has a shot at gaining...
+1 And I'll just say the over-used cliche that's always posted here: "Buy the coin, not the slab" ;)

Whoa. That's weird. By the looks of it, it seems to be two coins that were split in half and then stuck together. I'm not sure though -- is this...
