The large obverse picture really helps! I'm not an IHC expert, but judging from the weak AMERICA, the odd denticles could be a strike issue...the...
Strangely enough, the mint choose two metals, zinc and copper, that produce a strong galvanic reaction when there's a solution to transfer...
Thanks! And I count at least a dozen individual marks--just from this picture. It's been estimated the date may have been punched 4 times into...
A new shot of one of my favorite MPD varieties: MPD-002 or Snow-8. I picked this one off eBay a while back. There are lots of misplaced digits in...
Here's a new picture in more natural lighting. I think it's useful to see major RPDs in lower grades--because that's often how they're...
And the problem of fakes--wherever they might be--will only get much worse. In fact, IHC fakes may become accurate enough and plentiful enough...

That's the best show in the PNW--I always try to make it. :)
Yeah, and to clarify when I said "the denticles are sorta funny", that was an opinion too.
The XF piece is pretty dramatic--I'm surprised it went unnoticed for so long. I'm guessing it's pretty scarce.
Yeah--there is PMD on the variety. Oh well...I only paid $7 for this one in VF :)
I think I did this once or twice with my BB gun as a kid...
Here's a find from eBay. It's an interesting variety--there is a very deep file mark through the eye. Surprisingly, I was the only bidder, perhaps...
Wow--great variety--doubling on both sides! :D
I suspect this is an impaired proof. The raised area on the neck is probably dirt--I don't see a match to any known variety.
I see the marks, not sure what they are.
