As for the dot on the 1878, I don't see it in Snow's book. I'll go with the die chip opinion.
The 1893 appears to be a Snow-3 (1893, 3/3)
And 1963 is NOT old (at least compared to me) :grumpy: Plus since it's the "A" series it was probably printed a couple years later.
I finally decided to select a price guide and go with that. Since all my coins are slabbed that made the grading part easy; it's already done....

The "B" in VDB looks wrong to me. In all of the ones I've seen the center bar slants down to the right. Yours doesn't appear to.
