There are books specifically about grading. There is "Photograde" and the ANA grading book.
I don't think I would dig there. But, if you dig around the area, and not directly on top of where bodies are buried, I think thats ok.

Its MS-68, which is really good condition. I think "POP 31" means that pcgs has graded 31 in MS-68.
