The BEP doesn’t use the letter “O” in the serial numbers, for just this reason. It’s a zero.
I’m wondering why Jefferson’s portrait was applied upside down...
I believe the error is a cutting error and is misattributed on the holder. Both sides are off.
Is it possible the markings on the back of the note were added at a later date ?
