Can anyone define "damnatio"? Vcoins seems to list anything with a few scratches. I thought in ancient times, they would have gone for the eyes.

Cleaning is a great intro to the hobby. Attributing teaches you loads. Once you hold a very nice coin, the urge to clean sort of fades.
Imperial or Provincial, I don't care so long as it is a pretty coin.
