Probably AU55. The spots are probably some a dealer in England handling the coin and talking to someone while eating a tuna sandwich. (Not...
I assume you're talking about Morgan dollars and not $20 Libs. ;) I'd have to see both coins. If either is ratty for the grade or I don't like...
55. 58s need to look pretty much like no-question MS coins for this date.
G6 seems right.
Toning looks late stage, but legit. Surfaces are kind of rough in the prime focal areas and left field, and the toning isn't hiding the marks....
I'm at 66 on this one. I see what @longnine009 sees, but I'm going to assume that's the picture for now, and not the coin.
Looks like a rim cud on the 1862 cent. You did really well on that lot if I add up AU prices on eBay. Pity you couldn't get it for their high...
Nice! I bid on one lot, but didn't come close to getting it. I knew it was a long-shot.
I refer to that kind of toning as Smurf Vomit.:vomit: You say correctly, BTW.
Yeah, not the kind of condition rarity you typically want in your collection.
I'm at 62 on this one. Pretty banged up, especially in the prime focal areas. Sorry to hear about your father.
58, but it's really hard to tell from the pictures if all those scuffs that should be accompanied by worn luster really are. The obverse field...
SSDC registry shows 1 66, 4 65s, 4 64s currently registered as VAM 11A. For regular VAM 11, 4 65s (1 each PL, DMPL) and a 64.
Very nice 64. Looks like a 65 in some pictures.
Let me know if you're ever interested in a "family portrait" of your set. :)
I'd treat them the same way I treat any sort of contractor. If you don't respond to my second phone call requesting a quote, you're dead to me.
This is an early die stage of VAM 11A. I see this stage with some regularity, always uncirculated. The VAM 11A discovery coin is VF (I think)...
Thanks. I want the set to have a little bit of everything -- something for everyone.
This would be it if you stuck to only federal coinage. When you see 1787 and 1783, colonial coinage beckons. 1789 has no dated coinage, but it's...
Neat coins, very similar in appearance. I think I have most of the modern dates I need figured out. I will probably only do an error for 1979...
Separate names with a comma.
