Lol while I do keep copper cents, I don't buy that FOMO 'copper is the new silver' stuff. ;)
Also, I would add that people do buy copper cents on ebay, most likely to search for varieties or to fill up their books. I might use that exit...
I respect your opinion and point of view, and you are correct about their melting difficulties (and illegalities) I only keep them because I find...
I get your point, but not entirely true. If it turns out to be a huge DDO or a semi or key date, it will improve the value over a $0.50 buffalo
Whenever you nikadate it, please post pics ;)
Unfortunately that is the camera picking up a pretty bad PMD scratch. Would have been nice if it was a die crack :)
I believe your correct. Makes sense now looking at it after reading your post. Thank you everyone for your help!

Interesting.... shows what I know about seated liberty dimes lol.. I bought it mostly for the silver content- I will learn more about these soon,...
Also, nice collection you got there ;)

Bingo. That's what I thought, PMD all day especially with the rim being damaged too. Mine was a copper one, so it's worth 3c to me.
While yours is definitely nicer than mine, I believe that I have won the 'Cheapest seated liberty dime' challenge. Sellers pics, they accepted my...
I have found a coin that looks nearly identical to this one... unfortunately it's somewhere in my copper jar, so can't show pics of it right now....
After looking at it closer in hand, I agree with you all. I posted the pics in a hurry before I had to go run errands, so I didn't have much time...
So I recently got this in a silver lot, and what in the world is that on the chest of lady liberty?! Is this a known variety, or a conveniently...
Nice find! I've also found many die chips/cracks that weren't listed on cuds n coins.
PMD
This was plated probably as a science experiment. When I was younger (and before I was into coins) I used to plate coins, knives, and whatever...
