$70 is reasonable, but $30 is simply not a true reporting of how much it cost him. You can find raw ungraded 1941 proofs if you're patient for...
It's a pretty coin, but misleading to say you paid $30 for it. It was $30 plus $3 for shipping, plus probably around another $40-50 for the PCGS...
Sweet job gbroke!
Roman, every time you post that beautiful 1816 with the on-fire colors I just drool! :)
Beautiful coin. Maybe this experience will partially quell your non-stop NGC negativity with regard to their "overgraded" coins?
Doug, that is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Scanners can't even touch the abilities of a camera. They may be reasonably...
I agree with medora, I have never heard of the 1982 cut-off before. NGC and PCGS both consider 1955 the cut-off for "modern" for grading purposes...

OK, I know I just posted this in the new acquisitions thread, but I'm super excited with this newp. This one is in a PCGS MS66FB holder, and the...
The item number for that coin on eBay is 280884758535. I can't get the link to work in the other thread either...who knows. Don't worry, if they...
This is a new addition that arrived today for my typeset. [ATTACH][ATTACH]
Of course, the internet didn't exist...heck even the ENIAC didn't exist back when you collected coins! ;)
I was surprised that auction went up to $90+. I have an aversion to items offered by Great Southern Coin -- as their pictures are notoriously...
While silver looks good in black, brown cents look hideous in black slabs. I voted for NGC slabs. They look and feel more professional than PCGS...
Try Saflips (like these on eBay) -- They don't require staples, and they fit up to 40mm coins/medals pretty easily. As someone else mentioned, I...

The toning on that 42-D is just drop dead gorgeous! Really great deal! :)
I always have and will continue to shoot Canon, so I can't help you guys. -Brandon
