I talked to a rep for one of the hand held companies. I asked him how far the reading penetrates... his answer? 10 microns.

Nope looks like PMD. On a capped die strike you would have a normal reverse.

I think the on site grading runs about $50-$65 a coin on a 24 hour turn around and $100 for a few hour turn around.
Budget $30 for lunch... These coin show food vendors are EXPENSIVE!
When it comes to the grading GSAs...these coins are in a different tier than regular coins that go into slabs... A different process is used so...
Any chance you could weigh it? Blisskr is most likely correct... But I have seen some test pieces from the mint that this vaguely reminds me of...

I thought both pieces had a chance at 63... Coin #1 has slightly more luster on the reverse... I think that's what bumped it.
