VF35, environmental damage (scratches, rim dings)
AU55, cleaned
65 FS
MS60.
AU of some sort, cleaned/polished.
I think it is wildly overgraded and certainly wouldn't buy it as VF25.
55
I have a PCGS VF30, with CAC sticker, and your coin is much nicer than mine. That said, I don't see any evidence for a grade of AU anything....
I would send it to NCS for conservation. Any time I ever tried cleaning copper, it resulted in a coin with an unnatural pink hue.
Ah, a Dan Carr coin. It looked too good to be true.
Mighty neat coin, particularly since the last year of the Barber halves was 1915!
Looks like a "spender" to me.
XF-AU and cleaned.
The best way to clean coins is------DON'T! I've removed a lot of value from nice coins by cleaning them. Don't get me started on the XF+ 1917-S...
Harshly cleaned. Not worth the price whatever the price is.
58
66+. Nice coin.
Send it to PCGS and see if it comes back MS62.
Even if your coin had whatever it is you think it has, in the condition it's in it wouldn't be worth anything. Spend it--if you can.
One other thing: I sent a similar appearing 1931-S to PCGS. One of the "lesser" services had called it AU58. PCGS put it into an MS62 holder.
