The seller that is selling this coin on Ebay is a really good seller , I have bought some awesome coins from the seller and was treated good....

In my opinion even if these were from doubled dies I doubt that they would be worth much because they would be too minor. there is a fairley good...
This is the same type of doubling as the Minnesota extra tree coins. I am the one that found the first ones of them and we had a heck of a time...

from your description you probably have a coin that has been in a fire. heat will change them to about any dark color and cause the nickle plating...
when the recessed area of the coin dies become filled in with dirt,metal dust, grease and all kinds of other debris mixed together we just call it...

strike doubling or machine doubling does not add any extra value at all to a coin unless it is a extreme example where the letters and numbers are...
I think you have got it right. coins will tone to about any color , it all depends on what they have been exposed to.

On the close AM there is no space at all between the bottom of the A and M. they look as if they are touching at the bottom and the distance...
