I'm pretty sure PCGS is now providing a similar service. Personally, I like the idea. Of course, I'll probably be crossing more NGC coins to PCGS....

Depending on how severe the PVC damage is, even Acetone may not be able to help. Acetone is really for coins w/ PVC damage that isn't too...
Corrosion typical makes a coin appear to have porosity, while PVC residue only affects a coin's surfaces. -Brian
