Nice job Doug! A thoroughly enjoyable video. Hopefully more to come!
You're right about it being an error that doesn't readily stand out ... which makes me wonder just how many coins from this die survived unnoticed.
You have made a very good point about these errors being more prone at certain times and places. During the Flavian period at Rome these types of...
Knowing what we know of Vespasian, I would suspect the former! However, the coin was struck by Titus, the Roman JFK, so I'm sure the engraver...
A great lecture by Mary Beard which really shows how little we really know about the identity of many Roman busts. [MEDIA]

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. What a shock that must have been. My condolences.
Superb coin and wonderful idea for a mini collection!

Awesome coin with a neat provenance - and great write-up!

$29 well spent! Awesome coin @Andres2.
What a terrific set! The new owner should be thrilled by your kind gesture.
This. Selling a few rarities over the years has been my biggest regret. I've managed to replace most of them, but the ones I haven't are greatly...
Nice addition Mat and I love the group photo too.
I've done the same thing for coins I really wanted and that are quite rare. Not my proudest moments though.
I hope it turns up soon @alde! You just need the USPS to be helpful and the recipient to be honest. Stranger things have happened!
